Marijuana Prohibition Is No Better Than Alcohol Prohibition

In case you missed it, here’s a link to Sanjay Gupta’s documentary on marijuana, which brings further to the fore an idea that has been gaining currency for a long time: marijuana prohibition, like alcohol prohibition in the 20th century, causes more harm than it cures. Like, way more. Fortunately, the debate is being settled as we speak, and as more states decriminalize the use of marijuana by adults or for medicinal use, the federal government will follow suit. Which is federalism at its best. Let’s regulate marijuana like we do wine. The country won’t go to pot.
