On January 16, the state’s three licensing authorities announced their final regulations for cannabis businesses across the supply chain.
We’ll break down these regulations over the next few weeks, starting with those from the Bureau of Cannabis Control. The Bureau’s regulations span eight chapters in the California Code of Regulations, and they number as follows: (1) all licensees; (2) distributors; (3) retailers; (4) microbusinesses; (5) cannabis events; (6) testing laboratories; (7) enforcement; and (8) other provisions, including research funding.
We’ll begin in the next post with the regulations that govern all licensees, followed by those that affect each type of licensee the Bureau regulates, and ending with those that lay out the agency’s enforcement powers.
